Motorcyclist Dead In Hit-And Run On I-880
CHP is looking for the driver of a black Dodge thought to be responsible.

The California Highway Patrol is seeking a vehicle that fled the scene of a fatal motorcycle crash in Milpitas that left a 29-year-old Palo Alto man dead Saturday night.
At 9:15 p.m., CHP officers responded to reports of a motorcyclist lying in the roadway on northbound Interstate Highway 880, just south of state Highway 237, according to CHP.
Upon arrival, emergency crews located the deceased man and officers closed four of the highway’s lanes to collect evidence, CHP officials said. A motorist pulled the motorcycle off the roadway, according to CHP.

CHP officials described the vehicle that was allegedly involved in the collision as a newer, black Dodge Charger or Challenger with retro style wrap around taillights. Witness reported seeing the vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed prior to the collision, CHP officials said.
The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner’s Office has not yet released the identity of the motorcyclist, pending the notification of his next of kin.
