No Parking Zones: Enforcement Kicks In At Centerville Train Depot
Police issue a reminder for residents to avoid citations and adhere to the new rules at the Fremont station.

FREMONT, CA – New "no parking zones" began today, May 1, at the Centerville Train Depot in Fremont, and police reminded residents to be aware of the rules to avoid tickets.
"The no parking zones along the north curb of the parking lot were recently updated with new visible signage," the Fremont Police Department said. "We appreciate the motorists who have recently recognized the new postings and are no longer parking along this curb. Our goal is (zero) citations, and we really appreciate everyone’s willingness to obey the parking rules!"
The 24-hour enforcement along the curb at the Depot, at 37260 Fremont Blvd., is intended to allow for safe access of emergency vehicles through the parking lot.

"Improvements to the parking lot will occur in May with a paid parking program to be implemented in the summer," according to officials from Capitol Corridor, the rail agency that operates the 170-mile track between Silicon Valley/San Jose and the Sacramento region and Sierra foothills. "Notices for a kiosk training date will be sent closer to the launch of the paid parking program."
