Pedestrian Dies After Being Hit By Two Cars In Fremont: Police

The crash happened Tuesday night along Stevenson Boulevard, between Sundale Drive and Blacow Road, police said.

FREMONT, CA — Police say they're investigating a crash in Fremont that left a pedestrian dead Tuesday night.

The pedestrian was trying to cross the street along Stevenson Boulevard, between Sundale Drive and Blacow Road amid heavy vehicle traffic around 8:32 p.m. when he was hit by the a Toyota Scion traveling westbound in the area, according to the Fremont Police Department.

The impact sent the the pedestrian one lane over, where he was hit by a second car, police said.

Emergency personnel responded to the crash and took the pedestrian to a local hospital, where they were pronouncd dead, police said. His identity was not immediately revealed.

The driver of the Toyota Scion remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, while the driver of the second car did not stop, police said.

The Fremont Police Department asks that anyone with more information on the crash contact the agency at 510-790-6760.

This marks Fremont's fourth traffic fatality this year. Among them include a motorcyclist who was killed last month in a crash involving a semi-truck and a passenger who died days after being injured in a crash.
