Power Shutoff: Small Area Of Fremont In Warning Area
Check the map from the City of Fremont showing areas expected to lose power on Saturday.

FREMONT, CA — A small portion of Fremont is included in an expected Public Safety Power Shutoff by PG&E that's slated to begin on Saturday and last until Monday.
The City of Fremont has released a photo showing the map provided by PG&E to give you an idea if you are included in the planned shutoff. If you are still unsure, go to the PG&E website to look up your address.
The reason PG&E has scheduled the shutoff is because the National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for the East Bay that runs from 8 p.m. on Saturday until 11 a.m. on Monday.
According to the City of Fremont, "A Red Flag Warning means critical fire weather conditions will occur in the form of low humidity, high heat and wind. Red Flag Warnings are typically issued for weather events that may result in extreme fire behavior within 24 hours. The Fremont Fire Department will have extra firefighters on duty to augment fire protection in the City of Fremont."
