Beat the late summer heat with a frozen treat at Fremont’s new Nirvanaah. The new eatery specializes in frozen desserts with an Indian flair, such “Kulfi-Koolers” and rose petal, saffron and cardamom ice cream flavors. Nirvanaah opened in June in So Frais Frozen Yogurt Café’s old space on Mowry Avenue next to Chaat Bhavan. See more dessert options at nirvanaah.com.
A little election time tie-in here: Staples, the office supply chain that Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney helped launch, opened a second Fremont store this summer at the Fremont Hub next to Radio Shack. Fremont’s original Staples is located on Boscell Road.
