Suspected Arson Hits Fremont Baseball Field

FREMONT, CA - Police and firefighters are investigating an alleged arson at a baseball field near a church in Fremont, according to police.

Officers were dispatched to the Holy Spirit Church at 3:50 p.m. Friday on request of the Fremont Fire Department.

Investigators believe that a suspect intentionally lit a fire near the baseball fields at the church, damaging property belonging to the league that plays there.

Police called this the second act of vandalism at that location in recent weeks. Further details were not immediately available.
