FREMONT, CA — It's time for New Year's resolutions. How about spending more time in nature? Or getting more exercise? You can do both with hiking.

Patch reader Glen Mikesell took a lovely hike last Friday up Mission Peak in Fremont. He told us in an email, "I took several photos just a couple of hours ago and Google stitched them together into a panorama. This is from the Grove Trail near the Mission Peak summit trail in Fremont."

Mission Peak Regional Preserve is part of the East Bay Regional Park District. Activities at Mission Peak include hiking, camping, hang gliding, paragliding, and radio control flying.
