New northwest Fresno park may be named after Central Valley political 'trailblazer' (fresnobee.com) — A new park planned at Veterans Boulevard and Barstow Avenue in northwest Fresno may be named for former Lieutenant Governor Cruz Bustamante, a longtime Central Valley political figure with deep Fresno ties. 5. Structure fire breaks out and displaces 5 in Fresno, officials say (yourcentralvalley.com) — Five people were displaced after a Monday afternoon apartment fire on South Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Fresno, but firefighters say no one was hurt. Crews attacked the blaze from multiple sides and quickly contained damage to three units.
