It's Thursday, which means it's time to start thinking about the weekend. Not sure where to go or what to do? We've done some exploring for you. Here are our five suggestions for what we think sounds interesting and fun among the events going on in and aroundย Gilroy this weekend. Why Go: RISE celebrates American figure skating while commemorating the 50th anniversary of the 1961 tragedy in which the entire U.S. figure skating team was killed. Peggy Fleming is one of the storytellers (along with Dorothy Hamill, Scott Hamilton, Michelle Kwan and Brian Boitano) for this inspirational movie about the power of the human spirit as it honors a group of individuals who, through their loss, inspired the hopes, dreams and success for generations of skaters to follow. Why Go: Public meeting with Caltrain officials to discuss proposed service and far changes. If you ride Caltrain, you should be there.

VIETNAMESE SPRING FESTIVAL PARADE
Where/When: Downtown San Jose at Market Street; Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Why Go: For the Vietnamese, this is the Year of the Cat. The event features arts and crafts, live music, cultural performances, martial arts, childrenโs games along with Vietnamese food and drinks.

Where/When: , City Council Chambers, 7351 Rosanna St.; Saturday, 9:30 a.m.
Why Go: To have coffee with the mayor! There are many ways in which citizens can engage the mayor in discussion, but Coffee with the Mayor venues provide an additional, informal setting in which the mayor can answer questions and otherwise engage in specific or broad discussions on city issues with Gilroy residents.
