
Gilroy, CA— A magnitude 2.5 earthquake struck near Gilroy Thursday evening, according to the United States Geological Survey. The temblor was reported at 9:14 p.m.
According to the USGS, the quake was about four miles from Gilroy and almost 17 miles from Hollister.
No injuries were reported as a result of the temblor.

On June 10, a powerful 5.2 magnitude quake struck about 13 miles from Borrego Springs, near the border of San Diego and Riverside counties. The earthquake was felt across a large swath of Southern California.
