Why Go: Hear the best of our young musicians in the Colors and Characters Annual Youth Concert. The program features the winner of the third Al Navaroli Young Musician's Competition.

Why Go: This is something to do with your teen if you are both in shape enough. A docent will lead you on what is described as a moderately challenging ten-mile hike. Needless to say, wear comfortable shoes and remember your sunscreen!

Where/When: San Jose State University, with the student chapter of the Society of Women Engineers, Saturday, 9 a.m.to 3 p.m.
Why Go: This is a day-long event for high school girls and their parents. young women who might be interested in a career in engineering. Go and find out if engineering might be right for her. And you as the parent, encourage your daughter to dream and succeed! You'll get to tour the School of Engineering, meet with university students who are already on their way, and more.
