UPDATE on San Martin Fire: 10 Acres Burned, Contained
The grass fire broke out Monday. One firefighter suffered a sprained ankle.

A 10-acre grass fire that left a firefighter with a sprained ankle in San Martin this afternoon has been fully contained, according to a Cal Fire division chief.
Firefighters responded to a report of a grass fire near the corner of Santa Teresa Boulevard and California Avenue around 2:20 p.m., Cal Fire Division Chief Jamie Norton said. The blaze was 100 percent contained about an hour later, Norton said.
The residents of two homes were evacuated because the blaze was threatening both structures, he said. Firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to the homes and the residents were allowed back inside, Norton said.
