• High school football rankings: Carlsbad remains No. 1 in our weekly football poll (fresnobee.com) — Granite Hills football is ranked No. 3 in the latest San Diego Section poll, sitting at 4-1 and trailing only Carlsbad and Cathedral Catholic. The weekly rankings, voted on by 32 local sportswriters and administrators, also list several familiar East County programs among those receiving votes.
