Color Party To Celebrate New Film 'The Giver' in San Mateo

The Giver, based on Lois Lowry’s beloved young adult novel of the same name, focuses on a ‘colorless’ society, where everything is seemingly ideal.

It stars Brenton Thwaites portraying Jonas, a young man who discovers the dark secret past of his ‘perfect’ world. But what happens next becomes a matter of life and death for himself and for those he loves most.

If you’re in the Bay Area, you can celebrate the theatrical release of The Giver on Saturday, Aug. 9 at “The Giver Color Party,” at Hillsdale Shopping Center – Macy’s Center Court (60 31st Ave, San Mateo CA, 94403) .

The event starts at 1 p.m. and will run until approximately 3 p.m. While there, you could win prizes, including movie passes to a special screening of the film.

The Giver opens nationwide on Friday, Aug 15.
