PHOTOS: 'Old Paint' is Watching You

Lemos Farm horse gets an "eyeful" for September, thanks to Half Moon Bay resident.

Drivers passing by this month will be watched carefully by its ever-changing "Old Paint," thanks to Half Moon Bay resident Denise Delaney.

Delaney, a regular performer on the stage of the who produced this season's production , submitted a design to the farm located on Highway 92/San Mateo Rd. earlier this year with the hopes that it would be painted on the horse.

Every month for the past seven years, artist Phil Davis reinvents Old Paint through applying new coats of paint to resemble the winning design. The farm invites schoolchildren and members of the public to submit original designs for consideration.

Delaney's design of a series of multicolored eyeballs painted over a black background was hatched in the spirit of the "Eye Ball," a  Halloween party she and her family throw each year.

The party became nationally famous two years ago when Delaney appeared on The Martha Stewart Show to share with the host the story behind the party and how she prepares for the annual celebration for both children and adults alike.

In turn, Stewart shared some recipes and decorating ideas with Delaney she could use for future Eye Balls.
