Last Thursday, the Pescadero Grown! 2012 Farmer's Market opened for the 2012 season at a new location on the lawn next to the .

Mariachi band Mi Tierra Linda added to the festivities as residents caught up with local growers before buying their produce for the week.

The market in Pescadero is just one of two farmer's markets celebrating their second season on the South Coast. Pescadero Grown! in La Honda debuts on Tuesday, May 8.

will be held every Thursday from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. at 251 Stage Rd. in Pescadero, while the La Honda market will be held every Tuesday from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. at 8875 La Honda Road. Both markets run through the first week of November.
