Photos: Plein Air Painters Brave the Wind and Paint Rockaway Beach

This week, Half Moon Bay's Plein Air Painters met in Pacifica to paint seaside scenes of Rockaway Beach.

Half Moon Bay's Plein Air Painters gather at a different location each Wednesday morning for a few hours to paint and enjoy each other's company. Each session is also a chance for painters to learn from each other.

Time permitting, the group gathers at the end of each session to share their morning paintings and talk further over lunch.

This week, the group met in Pacifica at Rockaway Beach. So what if it was windy and cold? Did that stop the hearty Half Moon Bay Plein Air Painters from getting out to Pacifica’s Rockaway Beach?

As you can see, we braved the elements to capture Mother Nature at 10 a.m. Of course, the sun came out at 1, just as we were leaving. Perhaps we should come out at 12 or 1 and paint until 3 or 4 p.m. instead? Who would vote for that?

Painting locations are emailed out in advance. If you'd like to be added to the list, send an email to me at eric@ericgreenhut.com with your name.
