Transforming Lawns Class
Interested in transforming your lawn into a water-efficient and low-maintenance landscape? Then Wednesday, May 20, is your lucky day to learn all about how to do it!
In partnership with Metropolitan Water District of Southern California and the Water Replenishment District, West Basin is hosting a “Transforming Lawns: A Sustainable Approach” class where experts will teach you how to transform your water-needy grass lawn into a sustainable, eye-catching and colorful palette.
This in-person class will give you the knowledge and resources to get started on your garden transformation. Plus, take advantage of grass replacement rebates that save you money along your journey.
Come to Hawthorne Memorial Center’s Sunroom on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 11:00AM- 12:30PM.
You will learn about:
- Selecting climate- appropriate plants
- Grass removal options & rebates
- Landscapes designed to save water
- Sustainable landscape techniques & functions
