• Archer and AEG plan an eVTOL vertiport at L.A. Live for future (mrobusinesstoday.com) — Hawthorne residents could see their local airport become a key hub in a new electric air taxi network linking downtown L.A., LAX, and other Southern California vertiports. Archer Aviation has bought Hawthorne Airport and plans to base its Midnight eVTOL operations there while also building a vertiport at L.A. Live, aiming for short, 10–20 minute urban flights across the region. 
• SpaceX plans on 'winding down Falcon' once Starship becomes operational (starlust.org) — SpaceX's long-term plan to retire its workhorse Falcon 9 rocket directly touches Hawthorne, where the company's headquarters and engineering teams are based. As Starship ramps up, SpaceX expects to shift resources away from Falcon, focusing future launches and Starlink expansion on the new fully reusable system and leaving fewer commercial Falcon missions after 2028.
