Chabot Women’s Soccer Made Strides
Gladiators made playoffs for first time in 16 years

Chabot women’s soccer head coach Dan Chubbock had only good things to say about his team after its first regional playoff game in 16 years.
The Glads (10-5-5), seeded 14th, fell in a penalty kick shootout to visiting No. 19 Reedley on Nov. 19 in Round 1 after the teams battled to a scoreless draw. The score in penalties was 4-3.
“I said to the girls I’m proud of them. They made history,” Chubbock said.

He described the contest as “a great, high-intensity game.”
Chabot freshman goalkeeper Jessie Lighthill was outstanding making seven saves.

Freshman Kiana Ayllon had a sensational season, ranking fourth in the state in goals scored with 19, and seventh in points with 46. Freshman playmaker Abigail Lopez is tied for seventh in the state in assists with 12.
The Glads finished fourth in the tough Coast-North at 5-3-3
