New 'California Stock Exchange' Could Create 23 Million Jobs, Businessman Says

Sonoma County serial entrepreneur Howard Leonhardt unveils his plan in Inc. magazine.

 

Sonoma County's Howard Leonhardt is creating another next best thing.

Leonhardt, who last year launched the , is now drumming up interest in a startup he says will create 23 million jobs, according to an article in Inc. magazine online.

The startup is the California Stock Exchange, which would be open for startups and small businesses only, he says.

Leonhardt is famous for creating a successful company Bioheart, that addresses heart disease, and numerous other ventures.

According to Inc. magazine,

"Leonhardt has invented 21 products for treating heart disease. He led the growth of two multi-million dollar health companies, which eventually sold to Medtronic for over $4 billion in the late '90s. He has even run for governor of California.

Now serial entrepreneur Howard Leonhardt wants another notch on his belt: To help create 23 million American jobs. He plans to do it by starting the California Stock Exchange—think NASDAQ for start-ups and small businesses."
