Recognize This Man? Police Seek Help Identifying Bank Robber

A reward of up to $2,500 is being offered for information leading to an arrest in connection with the bank robbery Thursday.

SANTA ROSA, CA — Santa Rosa police asked for the public's help Thursday in identifying a bank robber.

Around 9:50 a.m. Thursday, a man walked into Westamerica Bank, 2489 Guerneville Road, and demanded money with a note while acting like he had a gun although no gun was seen, police said.

He got an undisclosed amount of cash, then walked out of the bank and left in an unknown direction, Santa Rosa police Sgt. Brandon Matthies said.

"No one was injured inside of the bank during the robbery," Matthies said.

The suspect was described as a 5-foot-6-inch Black man in his late 30s or early 40s with a medium build. He wore a gray Hurley baseball hat, a checkered face mask, and a gray/blue longsleeved shirt.

A reward of up to $2,500 is being offered by the Sonoma County Alliance Community Engagement and Safety Rewards Fund for information leading to the arrest of the suspect or suspects.

"Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information that would assist with the investigation is encouraged to contact SRPD through our online Tip Line," Matthies said. "You can also provide information by contacting the SRPD Violent Crimes Team at 707- 543-3590."
