Beginning Relief Sculpture

Relief sculpture is when you create a 3d image on a flat surface. Think sculpture on the walls of buildings, tiles, or even coins. In this class we transfer a photo or drawing onto a slab of clay, then build the image using oil-based clay. The result is a unique sculpted work you can hang on the wall, give as a gift, or customize as a tile.
No experience is necessary.

Fee: $125 plus $25 materials fee

Cynthia Berg Polsan is a professional sculptor with a studio and gallery in Healdsburg. She studied fantasy sculpture with special effects artist Jordu Shell in Los Angeles, at the Los Angeles Academy of Art and the Florence Academy of Art.
