Blake Monahan

Blake Monahan is a super 11-year-old who attends . 

Blake was  studying this week at and was nominated for Patch’s Whiz Kid by his friends.  According to his friends, Blake is very nice to all kids at school, especially when they get hurt.  On several occasions, Blake has taken other students to the office at school to get ice when they’ve fallen down in the halls. 

Blake is also a pitcher on the Yankees in Healdsburg Little League.  His athletic abilities led him to pitch a no-hitter in one game last year.  Blake’s favorite sport is baseball and he also enjoys playing in the river in the summer time.

“Blake is a great all-around athlete.  He does everything, from pitching to swimming in the river.  He can even catch a crayfish by hand,” says his proud dad, Nick Monahan, who is also a Healdsburg resident.  "Blake is a great role model for his 6-year-old brother who really looks up to Blake. "
