It’s Shakespeare in the Piazza at Bacchus Landing!
While Claudio and Hero fall in love and get engaged, the villainous Don John tricks Claudio into believing Hero is unfaithful, leading him to publicly humiliate her at the altar. Meanwhile, their friends conspire to make the sparring Beatrice and Benedick fall in love, and they eventually confess their feelings for each other. The play’s climax, in pure Shakespearean form, involves a faked death, a confession of Don John’s plot, and a happy ending with a double wedding – of course!
Bacchus Landing’s wood-fired pizza will be available for purchase, and wine by the glass or bottle will also be available for purchase from selected wineries each evening (see the schedule, below). Sorry, no outside food or drink allowed except for water bottles. Remember, Sonoma County evenings get chilly even in the summer. We advise you to bring a sweater, jacket, or hoodie in case you need to bundle up after sunset!
