Car Wash Benefits Hounds Girls' Tennis
Event Saturday, Sept. 10 at Rite Aid will pay for tournament trip next July.
Members of the girls tennis team will hold a car wash this Saturday, Sept. 10, to raise money for the team to attend the Bank of the West Classic Tennis Tournament next July.
Car washes will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 525 Healdsburg Ave., Healdsburg. Suggested donation is $5.
Rochelle Mueller, whose daughter Bailey is a team member, said the Bank of the West Classic is "one of the oldest women-only professional tennis tournaments in the world and is the first stop of the Olympus U.S. Open Series," she said.

It's held on Stanford University’s campus at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium since 1997, former champions include: Billie Jean King, Chris Evert, Martina Navratilova, Andrea Jaeger, Monica Seles, Martina Hingis, Lindsay Davenport and Venus Williams.
This year's tournament was July 25-31.
