DEA Announces 4 Sonoma County Arrests For Suspected Meth Trafficking
Over 140 pounds of meth was seized in an investigation by the DEA, the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office and Marin County Sheriff's Office.
SONOMA COUNTY, CA — Four people were arrested Thursday in Sonoma County in connection with a large-scale drug distribution ring, federal authorities announced.
The arrests were the result of a 16-month-long investigation by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration's Santa Rosa Resident Office, the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office and the Marin County Sheriff's Office into a drug trafficking organization suspected of distributing meth throughout the region, the DEA's San Francisco Field Division said in a news release.
Over the course of the investigation, law enforcement seized some $40,000 cash and over 140 pounds of meth destined for the Santa Rosa area believed to be supplied by traffickers from Southern California, the DEA said.

Beginning Wednesday night and throughout the day Thursday, law enforcement served search and arrest warrants at residences in Santa Rosa and Cloverdale believed to be associated with the suspected drug distribution ring, the DEA said.
As a result of the operation, the DEA said, law enforcement seized additional methamphetamine and arrested four people: Fernando Dias, 22, of Cloverdale; Samuel Cholula, 21, of Cloverdale; Christian Torres, 21, of Santa Rosa; and Jesus Nunez-Camacho Jr., 33, of Santa Rosa.

Information about the arrests will be referred to the Sonoma County District Attorney's Office for potential charges.
