Drunk Man Follows Girls Home, Punches Their Dad: Windsor PD
The girls, ages 13 and 14, told police it was the second time the man followed them.
WINDSOR, CA — A man who is accused of following two girls home Friday in Windsor was arrested on suspicion of burglary, public intoxication and annoying a child younger than 18 in an incident Friday in Windsor, police said.
A disturbance in the 300 block of Duncan Drive — near Windsor Road and Windsor River Road —was reported at 10:50 a.m. Friday, according to Windsor police Sgt. Dylan Fong.
"The caller reported his daughters, ages 13 and 14, were chased home by an intoxicated white male adult," Fong said.

The two sisters made it inside their home and closed the door behind them, Fong said.
The man reportedly started pounding on their door; when the girls' father opened it, the suspect punched him in the chest and made another attempt to get inside the residence, police said.

The girls' dad fought back and as the suspect tried to leave the area, he caught up to the suspect and held him on the ground until deputies got to the scene, Fong said.
When deputies questioned the suspect— a 36-year-old Windsor resident whose name was not disclosed by police — he denied following the girls and said he was just looking for a friend, Fong said.
"It was evident the suspect was heavily intoxicated," Fong said.
The family told deputies the same man had followed the girls the previous week; however, police said that incident was not reported to Windsor PD.
"During that instance, the suspect had knocked on the door and attempted to push it open," Fong said. "The mother was able to close the door and lock it."
Police said their investigation was continuing. In the meantime, the suspect was booked into the Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility on suspicion of felony annoying a child younger than 18, burglary and public intoxication.
