Earthquake Strikes Near Sonoma-Lake County Line

There were no reports of injuries or damage, but the quake shook communities from the North Bay to the South Bay — did YOU feel it?

LAKE COUNTY, CA — A 3.3-magnitude earthquake was recorded Monday night less than a mile from the Sonoma-Lake County line, according to the United States Geological Survey. The quake hit at 10:33 p.m. near Saw Mill Road at a depth of 1 mile.

The earthquake was centered 2.2 miles from Cobb, 2.8 miles from The Geysers, 4.8 miles from Anderson Springs, 9.2 miles from Middletown and 25.7 miles from Santa Rosa.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage, but the quake shook communities from the North Bay to the South Bay. According to responses submitted to the USGS, the quake was felt in San Rafael, Healdsburg, Clearlake, Napa, Middletown, Kelseyville, Lower Lake, Hidden Valley Lake, and on the Peninsula in San Francisco, San Mateo and Mountain View — did YOU feel it?
