Caltrans reported that as of 7:30 p.m. one-way traffic control remained in place.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A fire broke out Wednesday afternoon near the Sonoma County coastline, prompting authorities to close a lane of state Highway 1. One-way traffic control remained in place at Fisk Mill Cove as of 7:30 p.m., according to Caltrans and CHP.
"CHP reports that there is a fire, downed wires and a severe traffic alert on CA-1 at Fisk Mill Cove in Sonoma County," according to Caltrans. "Motorists are advised to expect delays and to use alternate routes to avoid the area. There is no estimated time to reopen the roadway."
The vegetation fire broke out at about 2 p.m. at Fisk Mill Cove Beach in Salt Point State Park but was contained to one acre, a Cal Fire dispatcher said.

The blaze knocked down power lines, prompting CHP to shut down Highway 1 just north and south of the fire due to a road hazard. Since then, the northbound lane is being used for one-way traffic control, CHP officials
said.
Motorists can also use Meyers Grade Road to Timber Cove Road as a detour and alternate route.
