Trick-or-Treaters Take Over Healdsburg Plaza
Despite the rainy weather, costumed children turned out in droves to trick or treat downtown merchants.
Neither drenching rain nor dark clouds kept trick or treaters from their appointed rounds this afternoon, as dozens of children went store to store in downtown Healdsburg.
Many children, and a few adults, were dressed up and having a great time as they followed the informal, annual Healdsburg tradition.

"What would you like," asked Mr. Moon's retail clerk, Patricia Ryf, of a tiny Tyrannosaurus rex. She offered a bowl of bracelets, erasers and rulers, in a departure from the usual candy treats.
Five-month-old Delilah Timmsen-Miller, carried snugly in her mother's arms, was dressed as a snail. Numerous pirates, ghouls, goblins and even a street safety cone strolled the Plaza area with bags, pillowcases and plastic pumpkins in hand. (See photos at right.)

Even Healdsburg Farmers' Market vendor, Dominique Cortara of Dominique's Sweets, gave out free treats in the form of delicious macarons to those dressed for the occasion.
