Greening the Commute - Register for Bike to Work Day
The cycling awareness day on May 12 encourages participants to save at the gas pump by nixing the car.

With creeping tenaciously high, there's never been a better time to get out of your car and out into the fresh air.
Organized by the Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition, Bike to Work Day provides a great excuse for workers to break from the daily grind, and save the planet (and some money!) in the process.
“We expect 2011 to be our biggest Bike to Work Day yet,” says Sandra Lupien, Outreach Director and Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition, the non-profit organization that leads the countywide collaboration by hundreds of people representing dozens of Sonoma County businesses, government agencies, and organizations.

“With gas prices over $4.00 per gallon,” says Lupien, “people are looking for ways to save money. Biking to work, to school, to the grocery store, can save you hundreds of dollars per year. Plus, biking makes you feel great – you get exercise, spend time outdoors, and you even help improve air quality. Win, win, win!”
