The long-standing rivalry between the Healdsburg Greyhounds and the visiting Windsor Jaguars provided the backdrop for Friday night's match-up at Healdsburg's Art McCaffrey Field. What was considered by some to be a match-up by the two best teams in the league resulted in a hard fought game that wasn't settled until late in the game.
Healdsburg came out strong, scoring 13 points in the first quarter. However, Windsor didn't give-in, coming back to take the lead just before the half. The Windsor defense proved too tough for the Greyhounds, causing turn overs that provided the Jaguars the opportunity to keep control of the game. Windsor converted three our of five Greyhound turn overs into touchdowns.
