UPDATE: North Sonoma Healthcare District Free of Conflict of Interest Concerns
Watchdog journalism group found no conflicts of interest in Healdsburg-area group.

, which oversees and other healthcare facilities in Windsor and Geyserville, was found to be clear of any apparent conflict of interest issues in a Bay Area-wide investigation of healthcare entities by the Bay Citizen.
“Healdsburg District Hospital and the North Sonoma County Healthcare District cooperated fully with the investigation by reporters from the Bay Citizen," said Evan Rayner, CEO of the North Sonoma County Healthcare District.

"We are pleased that they found no discrepancies in the district's compliance with the conflict of interest laws that govern all public entities," Rayner said.
The article did find some concerns over apparent conflict of interest in at least two other Bay Area healthcare districts: Washington Township in the East Bay and Sequoia in Redwood City. In those areas, the article found instances of apparent conflicts, such as board members who are employed by companies that also may have large monetary contracts with the district

No concerns, however, were mentioned about the North Sonoma district, which, according to the article, has an annual budget of $38.4 million and a total annual stipend for board members of $21,700.
Board members include EJ Neil, William Hawn, Gary Anderson and William Esselstein.
