Healdsburg Reports Citywide Power Outage
The outage, which impacted some 6,000 customers, was caused by a PG&E transmission line failure.
HEALDSBURG, CA — Some 6,000 customers were affected Wednesday by a citywide power outage in Healdsburg.
The outage started shortly after noon Wednesday and was caused by a PG&E transmission line failure.
The City of Healdsburg operates its own electric system that is fed by PG&E.

"When the transmission feed goes down it causes a transmission-level outage," PG&E Spokesperson Deanna Contreras told Patch.
PG&E was still investigating the exact cause but crews narrowed it down to some damaged equipment in Cloverdale, Contreras said.

Most impacted customers had their service restored by 3 p.m.
As of 3:30 p.m., there were 275 Healdsburg customers still without power. Contreras said crews were working as quickly and safely as possible to restore their service.
Electric customers can call the city utility hotline at 707-431-7000 for updated information on the outage or additional questions.
The city asked community members to please leave the Healdsburg Police Department Dispatch lines free for emergencies only.
