Healdsburg's Evan Doll Makes Tech Headlines With New Release
Flipboard for Android 'SmartPhones' is now a downloadable app and will come preloaded on Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone.

Evan Doll, 1999 Healdsburg High School graduate, Stanford University graduate and computer whiz has made tech headlines again with the introduction of Flipboard for Android.
Flipboard the app that turns an iPhone and iPad into an easy to use social magazine format has added even more possibilities with the latest release.

According to Flipboard CEO and cofounder Mike McCue, one out of ten iPad users is using Flipboard to ease their browsing experience.
In an interview with ABC News, McCue and Doll talked about the new app. One of the challenges was to make Flipboard visually satisfying for the various Android screen sizes, as reported in the video (click here to watch video)

However, Flipboard is not yet available for Android tablets.
When asked what is next for Flipboard, Doll said that they see Flipboard as a “combination of brains and beauty,” in a “fast, easy” format.
Doll and McCue have added YouTube and Google+ to the format, which are also now available on the Flipboard iPhone and iPad app.
Flipboard was launched in 2010.
Flipboard is free and available through the Google Play Store, Amazon Appstore for Android, and the Barnes & Noble NOOK Store.
