Home financing outlook improves in Healdsburg

Money was the hot topic at this week's meeting.

Financing your real estate purchase was the hot topic at the local Realtors meeting this week.

There were good reports from several lenders:

 “The bond market is soft and there is a good jobs report that is inching rates up slightly and keeping purchase prices in check this week.” said Dan Stevens of Wells Fargo Home Loans.

Hunt Conrad ofProspect Mortgage reported that “the Beige Book, an index of economics was very upbeat this past week in spite of the geopolitical uneasiness,” he said.

“In the past 12 years, the has visited our schools with their enrichment program," said Realtor Ken Spadoni of

"More than 8,000 students have benefited from this program --I believe this is worthy of our support.”

A motion was made and $200 will be donated to that program from the local Realtors.

In additiion, an announcement was made that Healdsburg Rotarians will paint themselves green on St. Patrick's Day parade that starts at 7 a.m. at

The Rotarians will  be gathering sponsors to help pay for their fight against polio: $200 was donated for that cause.
