Today's Whiz Kid is an aspiring chef who aims to make everyone feel loved and included.
Jessica Delgado is an eighth grader at She enjoys school, especially math where she can use logic and algebra to make sense of the world around her. Jessica is the youngest of three children, with two older sisters who are twins.
Jessica values relationships, especially with the other kids at school and prides herself in staying away from drama.
“I like to hang out with all sorts of people, no matter how different they are from me,” says Jessica. Jessica doesn’t consider herself to be in any exclusive friend group in school and makes sure to enable the people around her to feel included.

One of the most exciting hobbies to Jessica is cooking. In no time, Jessica can whip up a mean dish of cheesy chicken enchiladas, slathered in flavorful red chili sauce. Jessica would love to use these skills to become a chef someday and infuse the world with more quality Mexican food.
