Juvenile Surrenders, 'Fesses Up To Attempted Bank Robbery: Police

SONOMA COUNTY, CA – A juvenile suspect who allegedly tried to rob a Wells Fargo bank in Sebastopol Monday evening was arrested after he turned himself in at the police department Wednesday, officers said.
The suspect, who will not be identified, asked for $50 and $100 bills but left the bank, at 7151 Bodega Ave., empty handed when the teller refused.
Police responded to a 5 p.m. phone call from the Wells Fargo Alarm Company and searched the area but did not locate the suspect. He did not display a weapon but had his hands in pockets, police said.

The underage suspect was interviewed after turning himself in, and investigators said he made statements that only the person who committed the crime could know.
He was arrested on suspicion of attempted bank robbery and booked into juvenile hall.
