Ladies Aid Gives Scholarships

The Alexander Ladies Aid has awarded five $800 scholarships to local graduating seniors. Each year, the Ladies Aid accepts applications in the spring, and awards a number of scholarships. Students should live in the Alexander Valley, and preference is given to those interested in agricultural studies. We are excited to present this year's recipients:

Established in 1911, the Alexander Valley Ladies Aid is a civic organization, dedicated to the local community. Well-known for their annual Christmas Bazaar featuring hand-made unique items, the organization aids in the maintenance of Sonoma County Historic Monument Alexander Valley Community Church, gives college scholarships to local high school graduates, and extends donations to worthy local charities including the Alexander Valley School Library
