Leaves and Flowers Tea Workshop 8/6

Join Leaves and Flowers founders Anna Morton and Emily Erb for a workshop on how to properly gather, dry, and blend herbs for teas. Anna and Emily will discuss their tea-making process, highlighting their favorite plants and the medicinal properties of each. The class will end with an afternoon tea featuring Leaves and Flowers teas expertly paired with savory and sweet bites from the SHED kitchen. This class is perfect for gardeners, cooks, tea aficionados, or anyone interested in learning more about the benefits of herbs and edible flowers and their complex flavors. All workshop participants will receive a 10% discount for purchases in the SHED retail store the day of the event.

Anna Morton has worked in kitchens around the Bay Area and cultivated relationships with well-­respected chefs and farmers. Though that work and she discovered her deep interest in the concept of food as medicine, which led her to study the traditional uses and mythical lore of plants at The California School of Herbal Studies.

Emily Erb entered the beverage industry because of her love of coffee, cafes, and the community they foster. She began her career in New York City, then slowly migrated west to work for some of the top artisanal coffee roasters in the country. Emily now uses her coffee training to concoct beautiful herbal infusions and source teas of impeccable quality and taste. Emily’s profound intuition with plants infuses into all that she creates.
