Life in (Healdsburg's) Slow Lane an Outside Magazine Fantasy Spread
Local athlete-foodies now national models for the hip, healthy life.
It's become almost commonplace for Healdsburg to be featured in as a ground zero destination.
The same is true, perhaps for wine tasting aficionado journals -- and some regional or even national foodie rags.

But the June edition of Outside Magazine trumps all previous claims to fame for our lovely little town.
Inside its pages is a six-page spread that has fit local folks showing off the latest in upscale casual wear a la L.L. Bean or Levi's and raving about the triple-threat pleasures of Healdsburg: the biking, the food and the wine.

The synopsis for the article, entitled "Life in the Slow Lane" and written by Michael Roberts, tells it all:
"An hour and a half north of San Francisco, the small town of Healdsburg offers world-class dining, a top-tier bar scene, and endless cycling opportunities. Six athlete-foodies give the lowdown on California wine country’s lesser-known gem."
If you've lived around town for any length of time, you will likely recognize Dawid Jaworski and Diavola's Dino Bugica and Colin Sinclair, David Huebel of Hafner Vineyard, writer-photographer Tod Brilliant, mixologist Daniel "Cappy" Sorrentino and Bike Monkey Editor Greg Fisher.
Seems like there are more than six, but who are we to quibble when we see all these Healdsburgians in full-color glory?
Who knew living the Healdsburg life could be the stuff of national idolation?
