LIME Foundation Plans 'Believe In The Dream' September Gala

Former Golden State Warrior and humanitarian Adonal Foyle will be keynote speaker at the fundraiser, to benefit area youth and seniors.

SANTA ROSA, CA – The LIME Foundation, a North Bay nonprofit which serves the arts, senior health and youth engagement in construction, will host its third annual "Believe in the Dream" gala on Sept. 13, and tickets are now available.

“I am incredibly excited to share the growth of our NextGen Trades Academy. Our partner contractors are hiring our graduates to help rebuild Sonoma County” said Letitia Hanke, LIME Foundation founder. “September’s gala is essential to the continued expansion of this program.”

The keynote speaker at this year's event, planned at the Vintners Inn in Santa Rosa, will be Adonal Foyle, a retired NBA player for the Orlando Magic and Golden State Warriors, the Warriors' community ambassador and a member of the World Sports Humanitarian Hall of Fame.

A gala honoree will be this year’s Turner Arts Initiative Music and Performing Arts Scholarship winner and Santa Rosa Junior College student, Tyler-Avery Lewis, 22, who will perform that evening and recently was crowned Miss Sonoma County for 2018, now making her eligible to compete in Miss California.

Also in attendance will be Kristen Ashley, a New York Times bestselling author who will be at the VIP reception after the event. Meet-and-greet opportunities will be posted online by Aug. 13, organizers said.

The Sonoma County-based LIME Foundation operates an activities program to help local seniors stay active and create new friends, the "Turner Arts Initiative," that offers positive, structured activities to disadvantaged youth, and the "NextGen Trades Academy," to train and help students, who may not have college opportunities, find gainful employment in the trades and construction fields.

"Believe in the Dream" will be from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Vintners Inn, located at 4350 Barnes Road in Santa Rosa.

Tickets are $100 and include dinner, VIP tickets are $225, and they are available for purchase at www.thelimefoundation.org/events. Table sponsorships are also available on the event website.
