The Magical, Musical Sound Of An Inclusive Park

RSVP for the Interactive Musical Bridge event offering the sights and sounds of Healdsburg's future inclusive playground.

HEALDSBURG, CA — After more than a decade of planning for a new public park on the city’s southern edge, an interactive soundscape that turns play into music will be offering residents a hands-on preview of what an inclusive playground that goes beyond ADA requirements could look — and sound — like when it opens.

Musical Bridge, a sculptural installation that responds to touch and movement with layered tones, will be featured during a free community event on Friday. The evening includes a chance to meet Nolan Gasser, the musicologist and composer behind the installation, whose work blends music, neuroscience, and accessibility.

The exhibit is part of a broader effort to introduce the community to Magical Bridge Playgrounds, an organization whose model for inclusive public play spaces is being integrated into the Badger Park redesign.
