Man Stabbed In Fight Over Cigarette; Woman Arrested

SONOMA COUNTY, CA – A 26-year-old female was arrested Friday for the alleged stabbing of a man in the Santa Rosa area, according to law enforcement.

Sonoma County Sheriff’s deputies were called at 11 a.m. to the 3300 block of Fulton Road where a man was found on the ground bleeding from a stab wound to the chest. The victim told deputies a fight started when he would not give a cigarette to Christina Urrutia, the agency said.

Witnesses reported a fight broke out between the victim and Urrutia's boyfriend, Patricio Navarro, 33, deputies said. At some point Urrutia joined the altercation, and the victim said he was hit in the chest and then noticed the stab wound, deputies said.

The victim's wounds appeared to be non-life threatening, and he was transported to a hospital for treatment, the Sheriff's office said.

Urrutia was arrested for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and taken to the county jail. Bail was set at $30,000.
