A variety of materials will be used, such as printed and textured papers, photographs, fabric, and dimensional objects such as beads and other collected objects. The instructor will provide some mixed media ephemera for your use. We will explore the effects possible with a variety of media.
This three day class will be filled with experimentation.
Day One we will be creating our own hand painted paper for collage use.
Day Two you will be creating original mixed media artwork using photocopies of simple subjects provided by the instructor. On the third and last day of this workshop you will be using a photocopy of a vintage portrait (male or female).
Reference material will also be provided by the instructor or you may also bring copies of your own vintage portrait photos. Each student will be encouraged and guided to create their own individual style. Come expecting to have a fun. This workshop is open to all levels.
