Patch Etiquette Blogger Says "Thank You" with a Handwritten Note. Do You?
Lisa Mirza Grotts, Healdsburg Patch's one-of-a-kind etiquette adviser, takes on the hot-button topic of thank you notes in today's blog "Digital Invitations and Cards."

One of the advantages of the new Patch 2.0 publishing platform is the higher visibility given to bloggers' entries on the home page.
But it's not perfect: formerly, editors could "feature" a blog (or an event or an announcement) and have it appear as the lead story on the top of the page.
No longer - at least not yet. The final implementation of all features of Patch 2.0 hasn't arrived, but we hope when it does we can throw the spotlight on the valued contributions from our local voices.
Today, for instance, Healdsburg Patch's one-of-a-kind etiquette adviser Lisa Mirza Grotts takes on the hot-button topic of electronic invitations or "e-vites" in today's blog, "Digital Invitations and Cards."
When is it okay to send a group e-vite? When is it not okay? What about birth announcements, graduation announcements or messages of condolences?
What about you - do you rely on electronic and digital communication for all things, or where do you draw the line and send a hand-written note?
