Pedestrian Killed In Forestville Identified

SONOMA COUNTY, CA -- The Sonoma County coroner's office has identified a pedestrian who died when he was struck by at least two vehicles in Forestville on Saturday as Anthony Colwell, 29, of Sebastopol. The collision was reported around 4:20 a.m. at River and Martinelli roads, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Colwell was struck by a Honda, a large truck and possibly a taxi, CHP Officer Juan Leon said.

None of the drivers were under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and the CHP is still investigating whether Colwell was impaired, Leon said.

Colwell died at the scene. The collision closed River Road for about three hours, Leon said.
