Power Knocked Out In Healdsburg
City officials reported power outages that were contained to central areas of Healdsburg as of noon.
HEALDSBURG, CA — City crews are responding to reports of power outages in Healdsburg caused by a downed tree branch.
The tree knocked out power mainly downtown and in areas to the south, including businesses and homes.
The northern area of the city was largely unaffected, according to Healdsburg officials.

The city received the first reports of outages at 11:30 a.m. Power was fully restored around 1 p.m.
Holley said a tree branch fell on a power line at Tucker Street and First Street, triggering the outage, the Press Democrat reported.

The City of Healdsburg operates its own municipal electric, water and wastewater utility, but its electric system connects to the Pacific Gas and Electric Company grid.
Connecting to PG&E's regional transmission network is supposed to give the city more local control than otherwise available to municipalities fully served by investor-owned utilities, but the stability of a regional grid.
“It’s a large outage,” Healdsburg spokesman Ray Holley told the Press Democrat before power was fully restored.
