Last Day to Reserve Your Place for Dine-Around Dinners

UPDATE: Event organizers Lori Moore says that today, Tuesday, is the last day to make your reservation for the annual February Dine Around. If you haven't done so yet, please call her at 479-7488 and make your choices of dishes and restaurants, and be prepared to pay via credit card over the phone. You can find the menus and reservation form attached to this article at right.

Once again the Dine-Around is held on two separate nights, Wednesday, February 27, and Thursday, Feb. 28. All of the 17 participating restaurants (see list below) are within walking distance of the Healdsburg Plaza.

The basic plan is once again a number of restaurants that each offer special dishes for each of three courses - sometimes more than one - and diners drop into a separate restaurants for each course. It's a great way for visitors and locals alike to explore the increasing diversity of dining options in Healdsburg.

Plus again there's an added incentive of prizes in the Four Aces progressive poker hand. Participants will receive playing cards at each of their three stops. At the end of dessert, open your envelopes and put together a winning 5-card poker hand. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 hands; ties will be decided by a high card draw. (We know what you're thinking: Cards cannot be traded or participant will be eliminated.)

Seventeen restaurants are participating this year, reflecting the explosion of local dining establishments in the past year. Several of them are new: Bravas Bar de Tapas, Café Lucia, Campo Fina and Taverna Sofia have all opened up since the 2012 Dine-Around.

It's not however a free-for-all or make-it-up-as-you-go along party. You need to download the attached Reservation Form, choose a date (Wednesday or Thursday) and a start time (6 or 6:45 p.m.) and which three restaurants you plan to visit. Submit it along with your $79 payment and shine your shoes.

The $79 may sound a bit steep, but it includes taxes and tips, and benefits the Healdsburg Food Pantry for those less fortunate in our community.
